Good day to you all!
It's Thursday.............. We have heat in the office....... So it's a good day!
I have a big shot project for you today! Ouh but the funny thing is that I fergot to take a photo of the chipboard going thru big shot............. I was trying all sorts of things and once I stumbled on something that worked I just went on a different path and totally forgot to take a photo sorry!
so today the challenge was to make a chipboard die cut with the Big Shot but to make it glitter..
oh yha I had a hard time with this..............
okay so I used my ornament die with chipboard. I die cut it with my Big Shot........ it cut like butter...
Once I had the die cut chipboard ornament I painted them with Silver Shimmer paint.
then I let that dry and went to created my 3D project
so I making a little cute candle box with a battery operated tea light.
this is a piece of velum
I cut my velum piece to 6 1/2'' x 11 1/4''
Then I scored 4 times - starting at 2 3/4'' - then scored again at 5 1/5'' and then again 8 1/4'' and one last time at 11''
then we have a cube........ now I created a base to put my Velum Cube on
I used a piece of cardboard that comes with Designer paper, you know the one you usually throw away??
this is cut down to 4 1/4'' x 4 1/4'' - I score it all the around at 3/4'' - this is to make the flip down
then to make the square I scored at the same measurments as my velum piece - the 2 3/4'' measurments.
Then I covered this piece with a nice piece of Silver (Stampin Up) card stock - I cut this down to 1'' x 11 1/4'' and again scored it the same as the velum piece
Is this making any sense at all he he :)
so now I adhered my velum and I am ready to decorate
I punched some ornaments out of Velum and stamped with Baroque Motif Stamp set and Silver stamp pad
the ornaments are goingt to hang down
added some ribbon around my base - used some rub ons
make some pretty bows - the red ribbon I coloured
now for the glitter
I forgot to take a photo of that process as well - duh............ oh I had gillter all over - cause I tried so many things........... but it turned out okay - take a look
I used liquid glue on the chip board and then poured on the Stamoin Glitter - Romantic Red all over -
and voila............. Once dried I did a rub on and a pearl from our pretties kit
the Glitter is on Page 180
I put in eyelets in each ornament
I also put a little silver cord on each ornament.
okay are you ready to see???
really hard to photograph so I took serveral photos to try and capture how pretty this is!
kay then I tried to take a few photos with dimmed lights
okay I hope this is giving you the idea of what this little 3 D project looks like!
then I made another one...............
this one is for the LNS tropical challenge - so I used Herb Expressions as my stamp set. I did a lot of colouring and tell you he he :)
I also used Makeesha`s Inspiration challenge - take a look

So my colours are: Real Red - Rose Red and green Gable
I won`t go thru everything on this one - just going to show you what the finish project is
I used ribbon, buttons and pearls from the Pretties kit
whow this was along post...............
Sorry about that!!
wishing you all a really wonderful day.
See you tomorrow for our 10 min card.
OUH yes and we have a cute little blinky for the winner!!! fun stuff
see you tomorrow!
embossed hug

I really like the lantern using the Herb Garden set. It looks very delicate. So glad that you have heat today. No heat in the cold wintertime is a big time bummer!
