Christmas Collage with waffle paper

good day my friends - holly can you beleive is Thursday?? I played and worked this morning so I am behind the eight ball

however I did succeed to make a really unique card with waffle paper

wanta see??

 
I played with the silver waffle paper today

I also used a colour that I have not put to use much

it's Concord Crush

 
so the beginning thoughts

 
now for the waffle paper

I adhere it to the cardstock before I used my punch

 
look what I created with that waffle paper he he

 
okay now for some layers

 
a stamped the white cardstock and then I sponged

 
okay then I created a really neat ribbon with my bow maker from the fabulous Miss Lee

 
well there we have it!
what do you think??

it's really different uh?

but I think it's okay?

Well it's Thursday!

and it's even still in my Christmas theme

how about THAT??

 

my supplies

after you have cut your slits this is what it will look like

You will have approx 22 '' in satin ribbon I used Real Real here

I did the slits about 1/2''   

then I rounded all the ribbon slits

I made sure to cut the top off can you see - I discovered that it heats up better!

then you will heat up your ribbon

the first few will take a few min to heat - just be patient - once it starts it goes fast

don't over heat as it will burn the ribbon

if you want the vintage look then that would work but if you don't 

you will be sad HE HE :-(

then I took out my 1 3/4'' punch with the new sticky sheets

LOVE'M

and I adhere a real red piece of card stock

 ready to stick my ribbon on  

I started with the outside and I overlapped each of my petals

can you see that?

and keep going around till the center

really overlap it so it's full

that is the difference with my flower and Carry's at Convention

I also made my ribbon longer!

the other thing I did

was REHEAT my flower after it was in the circle

it just made it go the way I wanted and if I had some petals going the wrong way I was able to heat them and going the way I wanted them to

(I don't like control honestly LOL -)

I also sprayed my flower with Alcohol Shimmer Spray

the last two things I did to my flower - again was a lot different then Carry's
