Good Morning! It's Monday which means a new challenge over the Late Night Stampers!
the challenge #47, this week is all about snow!
so I grabbed my new stamp set "the More the Merrier" & a new sketch from Makeesha
Soooooooooooooooooo
here's what I did with this challenge
I looked for a colour challenge - but I couldnt find one would work - so I chose my own colours
I sure do like these cute little snow men
So I stamped the snowmen three times
once in the circle that I created with shimmery white
then two more times on some left over shimmery white
I started to colour with my lid of my ink pad, an AQUA BLENDER pen and shimmery paint!
This is for you Chris from CO HE HE :)
I selected 3 snowmen to be cut out
then I mixed a lot of shimmery paint (Frost White from Stampin Up!)
with Bordering blue
ouh glitter up the snow !
As promised a couple of days ago Here is how your dye the GrosGrain Ribbon!
- Stampin Ribbon is so easy to dye - I love it!
Ouh and my goal this week to bring you a video ( and not on ribbon dying he he - on something super special that I am making for our Big Shot Project - and I promise there is nothing like it out there - I created it - in my brain he he - so please come back on Thursday okay?)
- I know can you beleive it - I am going to do a video! wish me luck okay?? LOL :)
I used a glass here just so you could see better - I usually use a small bowl - so drop in a few drops of reinker into some water - you will be the judge as to how much reinker you want to drop in -
how ever dark you want to do your ribbon -
then go ahead and drop in your dry ribbon into the glass
so here is my ribbon in my little cocktail -
let it sit for a while - I did it a for a good 45 min.
then I pulled it out and let it sit to dry - you can also hang it - up to you!
and VOILA you have some pretty different coloured ribbons
Hope you enjoy this other way of colouring the ribbon Janet!
ouh I am sorry I fergot to tell you that I used Taken with Teal & So Saffron! Kind a cool and different colours uh??
while the ribbon was soaking up the little cocktail (that I mixed up tee tee (for Liane instead of he he! ) I created some snowflakes
and some rub- ons - fun stuff and super duper easy
Aint that too cute - and effective - I just love it - I so enjoy doing stuff differently
oh and I adhered them with Crystal Effects
and my card is done
Up close photo of the snowmen - hard to capture the shimmer
I did Crystal Effects on all the noses, the buttons and the pon pon on the toques -
they are so cute
Well there you have it folks!
What do you think? Very different colours uh?
Would just love to hear what you think of my card
please write me a comment before you leave!
have a super Marvelous Monday
embossed hug from me
