hey I am doing good this morning it's only 4:22am and I am all ready starting my post!
so today I am going to share my butterfly card swap
I do need my friends advice though
I am at a stand still and just undecided as to weither I should add a ribbon or anything to it???
will you please help me???
okay here's where I started first
I did a lot of research to find the most beautiful butterfly!
then I stamped the All a Flutter Butterfly stamp on Velum Cardstock
I used black craft ink and emboss them with clear
I used Pacific Blue and alot of different shimmer to paint my butterflies
I coloured on the back and front of each butterfly
then I added some white gel pen in some areas
I also covered the entired butterfly in Crystal Effects
now I am onto the leaves or something to put my butterfly on
what I wanted and what I got were two entirely different things he he
okay onto something else this is just not the answer
then I changed gears
took out the brayer and tired to do the background and let me tell you I tried a lot of different colours
but in the end this is what I did
I went with So Saffron in the middle and Tangerine Tango on the top
then I did
then I picked a little more so saffron and Soft suede
okay then I stamped the grass from
Inspired by nature
I did that in Chocolate chip
now for some cattails
I put a lot of Crystal Effects on some Textured Chocolate Chip Card Stock
then I punched them out
then I used the Tombo adhesive with a stylus to adhere both my butterflies and the cattails
I put the Tombo on my grass with a stylus
and now for the card
ouh buuuuutttttttt.............. I am not sure if it's done
I need YOUR help please???
so what do you think??
do I need a ribbon or a greeting
the last layer is not adhered that's why it looks crooked it he he :-)
I really love the look of the butterfly
and my cattails
one more photo and then I need your feed back
PLEASE - PRETTY PRETTY PLEASE!!!!
soooooooooooo
what do you think???
do I need a greeting
a ribbon
brads??
help me please
thank you my loyal blogging friends
I so gratefully appreciate your help
have a super good day!
embossed hug from me

I seem to be working backwards through some posts I missed ... thanks for showing us how you made the butterflies & cattails. Both add so much to the card.

What a spectacular card! The butterfly is absolutely gorgeous! I wouldn't do anything else to the card. Over the top!

Just gorgeous, love those butterflies and your brayering is so excellent. I think the cards look beautiful just as they are.

I love it just as they are, if you wanted to add something, just something little. All the other options are good as well. You are very creative. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Absolutely love the butterfly... Gorgeous card!! I would use the teeny tiny wishes stamp set for a greeting, then punched out with word window and layered onto a modern label punch. Beautiful, Beautiful work...

Love the card. Beautiful butterfly.

Your cards are beautiful just the way they are. If you decide to add anything, maybe some paper piercing mentioned in one of the earlier comments. I think anything else will take away from your card. As I've previously mentioned, I would love to come and sit in your head -- your creativity astounds me. Keep on creating...oh, and sharing...

I love what you did with this card. I think it would look nice with a ribbon across the bottom of the cattails.

Stunning card! I would add a sentiment on the bottom with the modern label punch. I would do it on soft suede so that it does not compete with the top.
However, I love it as is.

Maybe just a word in the top left corner, but other than that, I'd leave it. Your butterfly is very beautiful.

I agree with a small sentiment, but a small one. I wouldn't want to loose most of the stamping with a large saying.....just my 2 cents worth.

Beautiful, the colors are great.

This is absolutely gorgeous!!!! If it was me I wouldn't add a thing to it.... I think it's beautiful just the way it is!!!
Thanks so much for sharing & all the inspiration!!!

I love it the way it is. It sure doesn't need ribbon, maybe brads or a small sentiment but nothing to take away from the butterflies or cat-tails.

Your cards don't need a thing! They are spectacular, gorgeous, beautiful, awesome...do I need to say any more? I enjoy your blog and your directions...wish you lived closer to me!
Enjoy your creativity!

MOMMA!!! This is spectacular! Absolutely LOVE how you thought of the cattails! The brayered baackground is PERFECT...and the gorgeous butterflies are unbelievable! Your creative juices were flowing this mornin'! Have a beautiful day!

Beautiful! I love your wonderful butterflies!! I would put a small sentiment in the upper left. Nothing more so you keep the butterfly as your main subject. Beth

My opinion - no ribbon. I think that you need some thing small in the lower left corner - brads, piercing or a short sentiment. Gorgeous card.

girlfriend, this is just gorgeous.... I haven't had the nerve to try anything like this but you're tempting me....
scratch max for me....

Carole'Anne, I love it and I wouldn't change a thing! That butterfly is so beautiful that I think it speaks for itself without any other embellishment. That's my 2cents for whatever it's worth(probably NOT 2 cents). Thanks for sharing!
Inky hugs,
Janet
