Pocket Silhouettes 10 min colour challenge

 
oh my goodness........................

Guess what day it is today???

it's FRIDAY!

ouh yes I am a happy girl!

The crane will not be ready for me to decal on Saturday (they are painting it)

soooooooo I think Iwill get part of the weekend off (well at least not installing decals but cutting decals he he)

all right enough blah blah blah

I have a card that only took me 3 hours and 5 min!

did you know that it's a 10 min card!????

okay well let me explain what I am talking about! he he

 

so as you can see I was ready to go at 3:20am

Had a nice hot coffee in hand - Max had gone outside

and my radio was on so was my computer READY

 

take a look at this fabulous colour challenge!!!

 

see this why it took me 3 hours to make a 10 min card

whos says it's easy for me LOL

yha rigth

look at all the trial and errors 

I like nothing and the things I like seemed to be things I have done or overdone

sooooooooooo a FRESH start

 
so I got this set called Pocket Silhouettes

you know funnything I thougth I owned this set all along

but I didnt

anyways I do now

I also used the dragonfly from Asian artistry hostess set

I am really going to miss that set

 

so I got some shimmer card stock and created a little cloud 

and I sponged my first colour Ballet Blue

 

so then I sponge the curry and then the Green Galore

after that I stamped with Black Staz on

 

now I did something illegal sorry guys

but I tried a many different colours from the challenge I could not make it look good

but hey Black is a NEUTRAL right??

Neutrals a permitted right??LOL
 
I have a dragonfly on velym and I will cut out

 

all right things are coming along nicely

 

I modified the punched on shimmer white

 

onto some big Shot action!

I did all four colours at once

just so I would not waste time and I could try them all out!

 okay so now my gretting is almost done

I sponged the white shimmer back piece

the blue cardstock was just to bold compared to the sky!

 

so you can see I am almost done

well that is until I had a disaster

sad

I have a cut on my thumb and I got blood on my card ghugh

let see if I made it all better without starting all over!

 

I kinda covered it he he

okay so it took me 13:53 I know I am so bad

ouh and look at the time

now you all know why I get up at 2:45am!

Asian Artistry along the Vintage Labels for Nadina's Birthday

good day y'all!

It's a Monday before a long weekend!

yhe we love long weekends don't we he he :-)????

hope you all had a great weekend!

I sure did!

Got lot's and lot's done

which feels really good!

so today is Nadina's (My son Evan's girfriend's) 20th Birthday!

holly it's so scary to think that she is 20!

anyways back to my post he he :-)

so I wanted to make her an Asian type card

I used Liz Goldhawks Sketch for our Stampin Connect sketch challenge

 

and then I decided to create a really unique Flower

as Nadina really likes asian inspired themes

so I wanted to make a card with that theme in mind

so I researched some pretty flowers to go with the Asian Artistry set

 

so these are flowers that I I tried to duplicate

so Mr. Big Shot and I had some fun playing together this morning

I took out all sorts of flowers that I could die cut

then I used Velum!

 
so now I am making several layers

I won't be doing the complete tutorial today

but if you are interested in it

won't you please let me know

added some colour

I used Melon Mambo with a dabber

then I coloured in only sections of the stamp

okay hope this is making more sense now

let's work on the sketch now!

so I punched some edges

this is coming along

voila inside even done yhahoooooooooooooo

the greeting I used vintage Label for

and I also used the large Oval Punch and Ovals Die with

Mr. Big Shot

Carey - that's alot of Mr. Big Shot today he he

Asian Artistry along side of the The Royal Blog Tour

Good day y'all

I want to welcome you to this amazing Royal Blog Tour!

I am so excited cause this is my first time I ever did a tour! I took really serious and spent three weeks on designing and working on my projects!

I really wanted to do something that would be different! Cause I am like that he he :-)

oh but wait I do have

My first goal was to make a project with the set called

Asian Artistry Hostess Set!

I wanted to recreated an asian fabric

if you follow my blog you know that I post alot of photo tutorial - on the blog tour we don't do that!

So I will do my best to explain to you what I did

let me show you first!

The background was entirely created from a bland Real Red Card Stock

I watercoloured it and used shimmer

then I emboss both images from the set the rose and the bamboo (less the birdie)

after I emboss it I went backin and and highlight my rose with going grey

I then clear quoted it!

ouh and then I learned how to make knots - let me say I suck at knots lol

I googled asian knots and worked on these for entire morning which you all know for me starts at like 2:00am

these were hard for me LOL
then I also did these!

ouh and then see these gold pearls

ALL STAMPIN UP! oh yes

I embossed them layer after layer

yhap it took a long time and them little pearls were really really hard to do he he

but I got it done and it matches to nice!

here is my card 

it measures 6'' x 6 1/2''

to give you an idea of the pain I had to making knots

take a look at this LOL

oh my goodness!

it was complicated

I have always sucked at making knots lol 

I created this little chinese take out box

what I did was take an actual chinese take out box 

I took apart and then I used a Real Red Textured Card stock

and I cut it, scored it and adhered it!

I added the wire from the actual box

then I put in some foam and went to my back yard and picked fresh pussy willows

I tied the strings and did the same gold embossed bead from the pretties kit!

this is my little note card to go with the set this measures

3'' x  3 3/4''   

the background I want to show you up close!

ouh yes I forget to mention that II also sprayed the entire background with shimmer spray that I made with Shimmer and Water!

this what I started with before I started to assemble

I was restricted to this one piece cause I didn't think I could reproduce the effect perfectly

do you think it looks like Satin material?

Asian Artistry finished my little book with a card

hello to y'all my blogging friends

sooooooooooooo today I have a really unique little story to share with you!

But first I want to give an introduction to what I did this morning okay!

As you know yesterday I started an asian little note book, and I said I was going to finish it today!

So I did that and I also did a matching card with this little book - I used

Just Add Ink Challenge 

I used the same colours as my book!

But first I want to share this with you!

I want to chat a little about Darrell - those of you who follow my blog, you know that Darrell is a close family friend who is also my son Evan's Godfather

ssssssssssssoooooooooooooo now that you have officially met Darrell I have such a special little story to share with you

Darrell phoned me about 6 weeks asking me to help him create a birthday card for his mom!

Sooooooooooooo we spent 8 hours creating the most amazing card for his mom, needless to say he has caught the stampin BUG he he

so Darrell has now started to stamp and has come to my stampin class!

on Sunday when he came to class he presented me with the most precious card!

HE MADE this card for ME!

so I created my last two projects kinda casing 

my Stampin friend Darrell (along with his mom Annette who helped Darrell create this amazing beautiful card)

isn't it just so cool!

look at the inside!

So super precious and I am just so touched!

I just had to share this special little story with you!

onto finishing my  projects

I am running out time this morning............. so the tutorial on how to make the little beads will be tomorrow!

Sorry about that!

But anyways I created BEADS with Scrap Paper............ can you beleive it??

and made my card ofcourse!

okay here's the card I did

so this is the background I created yesterday

which I will use on my card today!

I cut it down to match the sketch

then I punched two edges to accent this beautiful piece

I added a beautiful RED Satin Ribbon

which will be carry forward into the next Stampin Up Summer Mini

now for a greeting  

I used the Well Scripted stamp set

with Gold Metallic

it look okay just needs  a little something something

my thought was to use some hard ware

but it was blah

so I turned an ivory brad into a red brad 

I used red craft ink and clear embossing powder

now I am happier LOL
this is coming together nicely

I added some brad and I used Liane's little angle design

I loved it on her swap cards, which I will be featuring on my blog tomorrow!

okey doke I am ready to assemble and show you my card!

then my little notebook with the home made beads

now for the little beads that I added

remember that I created these bead 

All By Myself HE HE I am a big girl NOW

lol - sorry one of my goofy moments 

so I used scrap paper - but I will show you that tomorrow I promise okay??

aren't they just the coolest he he

I am so excited about them and I am thrilled to use them!

I strung them - and used a clear bead from the Pretties kit

onto my little notebook

now to show you the set

Asian Artistry Note book with Sketch week 9

Hello everyone

hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

It's Monday which means we are starting a new week!

The week for me always starts with a new challenge from Late night stampers! As designer for that team, I make at least 3 samples for the weeks challenge

This week we have 3 D items!

and that brings me to the other little commitment I have!

I also help with the Stampin Connect Card Sketch!

Each each one of us creates a sketch and we are to make a card with that sketch

this week it's Alex sketch.

so I used this sketch for the front of my 3D

my item that I chose to do today is a little note book

I also chose to do an Asian theme

I will fill you in tomorrow as to why I chose this theme I have a special post tomorow that I want to share with y'all!(he he don't yha love my pretend southern accent he he  - I can't wait to talk to those southern belles at convention)

look asian uh? lol

just kidding

I used black textured card stock  I adhered everything with sticky tape

 
I did the back the same way

I did the inside panel

then as I was doing the back piece I got to thinking that I should have a ribbon you know how books have a ribbon as a book mark 

so I did a big eyelet with my crop a dile

then ran my red satin ribbon thru the eyelet

It's Stampin Up 5/8'' Satin ribbon   

I put the ribbon on the back of the book and covered up the seem on the back

cool uh?

voila

now for the really neat background that I made

my first try was a bit FAT FAIL

But hey I never gave up I am going to show you

I started with White Glossy card stock

and some craft ink

this looks like an abstract designer painting LOL

ouh yhuk I guess using my Bone Folder WAS NOT GOOD IDEA

don't try this at home he he :)

so went away from the white glossy and decided to try Gold metallic instead

and a sponge

ouh la la I like it way way better don't YOU?

This you can try at home LOL
sorry I know I am such a nut he he

I added more red wtih the craft ink

so the colours I used here

Gold - Black and Red all CRAFT ink

after I had the background to where I like it 

I used my stamp to create a negative image

so I am taking away ink instead of putting it on 

make sense?

now I am happy

let's do the rest of this book now!

I am going to layer onto my book now

Yha I am can you beleive 

ME LAYER lol

I first tried on the gold

and I black embossed it - but I didn't like it so much

the red is much better

I layered my focal point

I punched a circle for the greeting and then I created a fan

with the gold embossed piece of cardstock that I did not use

cool uh?

 

 I wrap a piece of black ribbon on the bottom of my little fan

and then I thought it was too wide so I cut it

and then I did something kinda silly

I used that little piece that I cut off for an accent

and I just added Crystal Effects to it

kinda weird I know he he

but why not right?? 

there we have it

but this is not done

you got to come back tomorrow I want to show you something else I am going to do on this!

Black Magic and a Hinged card

hello to you my blogging friends

I had a great morning of creating!

I tried two news things that I have never done

the first was called Black Magic & I put that together with a Hinged Card!

I used two challenges for this!

The first was a colour challenge from

Picture Perfect

 

the second was from

Project Tuesday

it's called a HINGED CARD!

okay so let me get started

the first step to making the black magic is to stamp White Craft Ink on Black

LET IT DRY!

as you can see a did a fair about of trial and error

the next step is suppose to be using metallic pencil crayons

okay I did try this

okay so at this point I am sure not pleased with the look of this

so I thought okay let me try blending this with my aqua painter with shimmer paint

so then attempted to blend this colouring

so I am not really super happy with this look

soooooooooooooo

I decided to try some water colour crayon

and that maybe thats the key

  okay so seems to have blended better

now I am done with colouring I am going put this card together

this is where the hinged part comes in

I will do a COMPLETE TUTORIAL ON THIS

ON SATURDAY

it's not too bad rigth?

now for a greeting

and this is not it

I think this is going to be real cute

now to colour this as well

no to create the hinge

I punched a hole with my Crop-a-dile

inserted my brad and look how cool this is

now let's assemble this

I actually don't mind the colours

I love these challenges 

they make me really think outside the box and I think it's so neat

I know I get excited over the little things in life

but you know what I am just happy to get to create each day and most of all share these creations good or bad with y'all

then I just had to do a bit more creating

I used this little dots from punching that scrallop edge to do this 

he he :)

I added them to make it look like little berries

then I added Crystal Effects over tope

neato uh?

well this is my card

I wish I would of edged the white  a bit

I may still do that but I was running out of time 

ofcourse it's a work day he he :)

Natures Nest, Of The Earth & Asian Artistry my new invented technique

Good day to y'all

so today I have something so different for you!

What I was working on these past view days, is a new background technique that I created

I was so intense into it that I did not even take photos until after

do y'a think I will be able to repeat this???

Who knows LOL

okay so I also used Bleach - I am going to do Bleach on Saturday again, but in entirely different way then today.

soooooooooooo................... I used the colours from the Just Us Girls Challenge

I beleive this challenge was created just for me lol

This is more what I am comfortable with

so these are my colours

I will show you as we go the stamps I used cause I changed my mind alot he he

and I had  a HUGE HUGE HUGE ROSA moment

ready for a few giggles

okay here we go! LOL

okay so like I said after making my background with

ink, watercolourcrayons, markers, shimmer mist and shimmer paint this is what I got

but this is not the end product just you wait

okay then I used my stamp (dragonfly from the Natures Nest - I got this stamp cause Sandi made such beautiful cards with this set, and I had never even noticed in the catalogue - my bad - thank you Sandi)

What I did with this is I used a paper towel soaked in bleach - in a little container and put the stamp right in the bleach - and stamped direct to card stocke

cool uh?

okay now let's see what other kind of damage I can do lol

okay so I some layers with dabbing ink a sticky note

I show you in a bit

then I decided to use the flower from of the earth

WARNING
I did not like it lol

oh my goodness

do you know how lucky I am that I used Craft ink???

I was able to wipe it!

with a BABY WIPE

okay so now took off the flowers that I did not like

and I am adding more colour (that went away with my wipe) lol

I used a wripped post it note and all three of my colours

I applied on a dabbers and dabbed aways

so I decided to go with Asian stamp

BUT I did not use part I avoided getting ink on the bird!

I am using this beautiful ribbon and I am going to make knot in it

but then I decided the greeting was to big

so I trimmed it down

now for knots in the ribbon

now for some bling bling

it's coming together now!

The Greeeting is on and I just have to finish the layers and put the dragonflies on

Asian Artistry

Good day y'all

Yhe it`s Saturday - I do have to work for a few hours today........ But you know what I am happy about that!

Tomorrow I will take a day off of my day job and get to play! I have class and we will be playing with Stampin Up goodies! Yhe fun!

okay so today I have a real mix bag of challenges that I combined - this my friend maybe a record he he :)

Here`s the challenges I used!

The colours are from the Color Dare, the sketch is from Stamping 411, I also used KISS (Keep it simple, sweetie) from Pals and Papers Art, and then I used the Punch challenge that we have over at Late Night Stampers.............

so here we got

This sketch is wide open!

so I decided to go with Emboss resist!

ouh I just remembed that `Hand Stamped Sentiments had a challenge on this`!

Technique Challenge HSSTC3

yhe that is another challenge!

Whow that has to be a record uh?

okay let`s get started!

got my stamp set 

it`s the hostess set called ``Asian Artistry``

mind you mind is the french one

this is my first attempt at doing the versa mark stamping

  Clear Embossed

I used all the colours in this challenge to dab on my white card stock

which was my first ERROR

okay I don`t like it as it`s not blending well

soooooo I used Shimmery White Cardstock instead!

so I started again on shimmery white

that is coming along better

so I also used shimmery paint which made the ink blend much better

looking goooooooooooooooooooood
